About ORIFODY

ORIFODY (Occupational Risks of Foof Delivery) project analyzes the risks of food delivery platform work and compares them to risks in similar types of salaried or entrepreneurial work within grocery store chains in Finland. The project is funded by The Finnish Work Environment Fund (Työsuojelurahasto).

The project utilizes the research group’s previous qualitative data and compiles complementary qualitative data. Our research focuses on the workers’ mental and physical well-being and work safety. We bring new information on the effects of working arrangements on well-being within the food delivery sector. Based on the results of the study, we can develop both the regulation of platform work and the adaptation of health and social services to rapidly growing forms of work.
